About
PETER PAPADOPOULOS is an award-winning playwright whose writing has been performed and published in the United States, England, Australia, and China.
Writing plays targeting new audiences, his epic multimedia stories are a fusion of popular culture, socio-political hotspots, and larger-than-life characters. He recently completed the third part of his loosely-connected love trilogy, LOVE LOVE. Parts one and two each received several festival selections and productions and part one, LAST LOVE, was co-winner of Algonquin Productions' "Project Footlight" and is published by Playscripts. His short play In the Cool Cool Cool was a finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville National Ten-Minute Playwriting Award and was published in the journal Karawane.
An experienced teacher and coach, Peter has helped artists create original pieces that have appeared around the country. He has taught classes in acting, playwriting, and voice at Indiana State University, the Greater Hartford Academy for the Performing Arts, Hartford Upward Bound, and other programs. Peter is also a longtime performer and received his MFA in Theatre from Trinity Rep Conservatory/Rhode Island College.
